    As you mentioned BI is a good path for a DBA unless you want to go for an MBA.
    Could you plz share some info on that.Being a DBA how does MBA help your career.
    Because i have come across a lot of people who claim that doing an MBA is useless for a DBA.I mean to ask you what kind of opportunities i have if i decide to go for an MBA.

    I am an oracle DBA with 2 years of experience.Planning to work for another year as an oracle dba and then i plan to get hands on experience on multiple technologies.(Probably SQL server,Exadata).BI or MBA interests me because i dont want to be stuck in a back end job for life with out client interaction.I wish to use my ability ‘to deal well with people’ as i grow in my career.

    Can an MBA help me give a good start in BI…Probably after 6 years of experience.
    Or MBA does not compliment BI?

    I am really confused.If you could give me some direction.

    I am working as a solution engineer on BI project. I am not involved much in technical side but I have much interest in that my work is mostly related to database testing and issue resolution.

    I want move ahead and learn complete process in a BI project to make a good career in BI.

    Please suggest what should I start with?
